It can be hard to take the first step. You can reach me by phone, text or email to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to talk about how psychotherapy might be helpful to you and see if we are a good fit.
Before your first session, you will receive an email with a link to create a login on the secure platform called Simple Practice. Here you will find practice policies and various intake forms. It is important to complete these forms thoroughly before your first appointment.
All information shared in therapy is confidential as required by law. There are a limited number of exceptions, including suspected abuse of a child or elder person, threat of serious bodily harm to another person and a deliberate intention to harm oneself.
If routine coordination of care is needed with other providers, family members or others, a consent form signed by you is required. No information about you may be released without your informed consent.
In-person psychotherapy takes place at 132 East Putnam Avenue, 2 East Suite 30, in Cos Cob, CT. Telehealth sessions can be accommodated using a secure video platform through Simple Practice.
Our initial session will be 60 minutes and subsequent sessions are 50 minutes. Sessions may occur once or twice per week as agreed to during the initial session.
Please review the Practice Policies on the client portal for detailed information about scheduling appointments, including cancellation and late policies.
The relationship between the client and therapist is an incredibly important factor in treatment. It may take some time to establish trust, determine goals and get into the flow of therapy.
Generally, you can expect to engage in therapy for at least several months. However, we will continually monitor progress and assess your goals, and therapy may end sooner or last longer. You may choose to end treatment at any time.
Please address any questions or concerns with me as soon as they arise so we can ensure you are getting the most benefit from our time together.
Payment is due in full at the time of service.
Preferable forms of payment are cash, check or Zelle. Credit cards are accepted with a 3.5% service charge per transaction.
I am considered an “out of network provider” and do not accept insurance. If you choose to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider, I will provide a detailed invoice for you to submit. I recommend contacting your provider to verify your coverage for individual psychotherapy.
